Internships in France under Erasmus+ mobility programs

Students of “Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy who study at the bachelor program in nursing could do internships in medical institutions in France, under the Erasmus+ mobility programs. The invitation was launched by the representatives of the French Red Cross, who were on a working visit to our institution, between April 5-7, 2023.
The delegation was represented by Jean-Marc Guffroy, director of the Regional Institute for Health and Social Care Training in Arras, Hauts-de-France, coordinator of the Erasmus+ Program, and Marie Noel Mahe, Nursing training manager at the French Red Cross.
Jean-Marc Guffroy informed that he submitted to the European Commission the request to extend the Convention on the academic mobility of teaching, administrative staff, and students, concluded with „Nicolae Testemitanu” University, within the framework of Erasmus+ Program. In this regard, the French partners have announced the internship opportunity in France for two students or master's students of our university by July, this year, namely in Nursing master's programs. "The Red Cross also offers the possibility to acquire skills in medical care and emergency situations. The European Commission is analyzing the outcome minutely and, if there are tangible results, next year we will review the provisions of the Convention and increase the number of students on mobility", stressed Jean-Marc Guffroy. Moreover, the French side invited the administration of Nicolae Testemitanu University to visit the French institution, by delegating 2-3 people, to strengthen and expand the collaboration aspects.
In this context, rector Emil Ceban expressed his gratitude to the French partners for the opportunities provided, underlining the need for our students and master's students to benefit from these mobility programs. "The number of scholarships within the Erasmus+ program is increasing thanks to the fact that the Republic of Moldova is in the process of pre-accession to the European Union. For our part, we are ready to welcome students and teaching staff from France to Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The agenda of the French delegation included visits to the university subdivisions: the Museum of Human Anatomy, the University Clinic of Primary Medical Assistance, the University Center for Simulation in Medical Training, the University Center for Medical Rehabilitation, the departments located in Leonid Cobaleanschi teaching block No 1, the University Sociocultural Complex, the University Sports Complex, and a trip to the Alley of brilliant scientists and doctors.
